the Cure® Minnesota Affiliate and Open Arms of Minnesota.
Money raised by participants in this year’s Ride will be split evenly
between
the two beneficiaries.

is the only service provider in the Twin Cities that prepares and
delivers
nutritious meals to people living with breast cancer as well as
HIV/AIDS,
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease),

go
hungry during this challenging time. To learn more about Open Arms of

ABOUT OUR TITLE SPONSOR

For the second year in a row, The Hartford has graciously financially supported the Ride as our title sponsor. Please take a moment to read a message about their involvement:
"The Hartford cares about women in their fight against breast cancer. That's why we were the first insurer in the nation to offer life insurance at standard rates to women age 40 and older who had been successfully treated for early-stage breast cancer. That's why our employees partnered with Casting for Recovery last summer to sponsor Minnesota's first fly-fishing retreat for women recovering from breast. And that's why we are so very proud to once again serve as the title sponsor of The Hartford Breast Cancer Ride presented by RE/MAX Results this year.
We will sponsor a Paralympian athlete to ride in the race to help raise funds for breast cancer research at Susan G. Komen for the Cure Minnesota Affiliate and for Open Arms of Minnesota. We also sponsor the rider because we have a long history of sponsoring the U.S. Paralympics. That's because we made a commitment to them many years ago because we wanted to encourage world-class athletes to compete at an elite level. Why? Because we knew that their athletes would help change attitudes about disabilities. So just what do all of these nonprofit organizations have in common? They embody The Hartford's Abilities Philosophy, which strives to focus public attention not on what someone with a disability or illness cannot do, but what they can do with support, love, and determination. After all, as a life insurance company, we're all about helping people to live full lives by being prepared for the inevitable bumps in the road."
